![]() Term four is our busiest term of the year. We will be doing multiple days of canoe training over the next five weeks, leading up to the trip to Bowron Lakes. All of our training days do go past the end of the school day so please look ahead at our calendar and plan accordingly. It is very important that all students attend the training days so they are competent on the water once we get to the Bowron Lakes trip. Our first day went great, with some high winds to challenge our canoeists. We also have a number of other trips this spring. On April 27 we have a full day, multi-destination trip up the Sea to Sky highway to learn about geology, geography, and natural resources. We will be returning to Squamish on May 8 to do some outdoor rock climbing as well. This day may be rescheduled if the forecast calls for rain. Finally, June has a few historic hikes and other field trips to wrap up the year. The Tikwalus trail and the Whatcom trail are historic trails used by local first nations groups, the fur trade, and gold miners. These hikes fit perfectly with our term four social studies learning outcomes. We are excited for a busy finish to a great year. Please remember to check the calendar! Comments are closed.
